Digital files submitted to New LifeStyles must meet the below specifications. No other formats are accepted. PDF FILES ARE NOT ACCEPTED Ad size: Full page - 4 5/8' x 7 1/2' Half page - 4 5/8' x 3 1/4' CLIENT FURNISHED DIGITAL FILE SPECIFICATIONS: Layout Application: QuarkXpress for Macintosh 1. Include all support files (logo, picture, TIFF, EPS) 2. Include all fonts used in ad (printer and screen fonts, no True Type fonts) 3. Include a laser proof of ad, black & white or color (if color ad) 4. Set colors as process separations 5. Colors should be set up as CMYK and/or Pantone PMS 6. Set trap to .25 pt. Drawing Applications: Adobe Illustrator EPS files (for Macintosh) 1. EPS files should include original application files in case editing is necessary 2. Convert all type to outline and fill with appropriate color to eliminate font replacement 3. Colors should be set as CMYK Image Processing: Photoshop EPS and TIFF files (for Macintosh) 1. Do all cropping, rotation and sizing in Photoshop before placing in QuarkXpress 2. Scan resolution should be 300 dpi 3. Scan all color images as CMYK 4. Save Photoshop EPS with '8-bit Macintosh' preview, 'Binary' encoding, do no include 'transfer functions' Final output should be 150 line screen Files should be sent on: 100 mb, Zip disk, 1-gig Jaz disk or 650 mb CD (also 1.4 mb diskette) Contact our production department for e-mail addresses (files may be “stuffed” for e-mailing). Client Furnished Film Specifications: 4-Color Film - RRED (right reading, emulsion down). Include match print of ad or color laser proof.
